I have some gears on hand, I want to check what module on the gear. How do I check? I think they are .5 or .6 module but I'm not sure. Is there a tool for checking gear module? thanks

Pitch Diameter equals module times the number of teeth.
This assumes no profile shift otherwise you are measuring
as cut pitch diameter.

Or M = OD/(Z+2) if nothing else is going on.

Module is a metric unit. The formulas given by dinjin and Occupant are only valid if you measure the OD or pitch dia in mm.

I see thanks so much.

Sorry, I'm a grasshopper. I want to know how to measure the Pitch Diameter? It is too small.

Open your NHB. Since you have the O.D. and the number of teeth - you can find a formula to figure out everything else.
