McAFEE Problems

I Work as a computer engineer in north wales
and i do use Mcaee anti virus on all my customers machine and i get no problems, apart from one customer who as got windows 98 se since i have put Mcaee on there machine it as stopped mail from coming in (so she says)yet when i test it it works ok. I have tried to remove Mcaee but it wont let me
The windows doesnt have explorer 5 and wont let me down load it. I have told the customer to back up everything and i will reinstall windows98 i have also tol her that because she uses it for a business and have her accounts on it i suggested she upgrade to windows xp but she wont
anybody out can help me sort this problem out on a very acward customer
