A fairly general question so there is room for a range of method/matlab function suggestions:
I have (lots of) point cloud data (XYZ coordinates), which give details of an object geometry.
I need to reduce the number of points for processing, though it is important to maintain a higher number of points in areas where the geometry is more complex.
Any thoughts?
