Mating problem

Hello there,

I have a rod that needs to be secured with in the boundary of a t slot in a block. Is there a feature that can do that? I have tried the cam mate. But dont know how to use it properly.

You could use a limit mate. Mate the axis of the rod to an axis of one of the rounds on the slot (0") and set the max distance to equal the slot axis to axis dimension.

Sounds like just what i need. I have never come across the max dist limit and dont know where to find it. Some help would be greatly appreicated.

When you invoke the mate command, expand the 'Advanced Mates' portion. The fifth button down is your distance limit mate.

For some reason, certain mates are declared advanced and then promptly hidden.
