Manlift load on a checker plate floor

I appreciate if someone that knows the steps of checking a checkered plate floor is okay to carry loads of a manlift on it.
They are intending to place a manlift on 17 floor of an open steel structure tower that is covered by a checker plates.
Any Excel sheet or sample calculation that can help me through

I greatly appreciate for your kind direction and help.
I need the design steps to follow. This is just checking and not designing.

You can start with the steel manual. Page 3-156 in the 14th edition.

You can try modeling it any FEA program (RISA would be my choice).

You can consult Roark's Formulas for Stress and Strain. pdf here The link doesn't seem to work but just google "Roark's Formulas for Stress and Strain"

Any hand calculation any handbook example
They need it quick and I am at the corner trying to help

May I ask what page and how I use it to check if the checker plate is adequate for the manlift load?

Treat wheel as concentrated load
Determine the plate strip width taking the wheel load per plate thickness and wheel dimension
Check the bending of the plate strip considering the membrane force
Check the welds between the plate and supporting members per the membrane force in the plate

It is not easy do the calculation manually. I have a ansys apdl command file if you need.

Anybody has a copy of the book that deal with wheel loads on slab on grade? Is it the same technic I need to use?

The key issue of the analysis is how to calculate the membrane force in the checker plate. The ratio of span to thickness is normally large and the membrane effect can not be ignored. It is tough to perform manual analysis.
 
Or its super simple because the thickness of a shell is zero and math is scalable. Multiply the span by 0.6
