When we use to work with manganese bronze window extrusions, we found that for drilling you need to reduce feed and speed, brass and bronze has the habit of grabbing drill bits, you want to try and get a slow helix, negative rake drill bit, I know Dormer sell them, If you're drilling large holes make sure you use a pilot drill this helps no end, its reduce the grabbing action, alot of the time you can machine brass and bronze dry, just be observant. What you can also do I found is use a pilot drill and then try drilling the final size with an almost flat drill, instead of having a 118 degree inclusive angle try experimenting with say 140, 160 degrees etc.
Hope this helps
