I have some images of company logos that I need to make into a DXF to burn on laser. I have been importing a JPEG then just clicking around it with a spline. Is there a better program to run the images thru first? has anyone used a digital pen for tracing?

This is not something my company does professionally or for profit, so I wont buy expensive software for the operation. These tend to be logos and are unique fonts so just extruding text will not look right, and of course I have to add points to keep letter centers from falling out.

Any help or direction on who else to ask would be greatly appreciated.
