Hi all!
Here is my dilema. I was asked to do a rough layout of a new plant that we will be opening within the next two weeks, since I do not curretly have AutoCad on my computer I opted to draw the layout in solidworks. Mind you all I did was sketch, I did not use any features. I want to layout the sketch on a B-sheet so I can print it, but the sketch will not show up on the print, all I get is an invisible model view....
Any help would be appreciated.
Kyle

That will work in the model, or assembly mode, but I am talking about in the drawing mode.

It also works in drawings (unless something is not working right).

When I need to do this (like showing a sweep centerline), I do this:
First I make the sketch visible. I select the lines I want to show and use "Convert Entities". Then I turn the sketch off again. This way I can select what lines show and also control line font and width.

I think my problem is that it is only a sketch... there are not features whatsoever in the model....

Print the sketch while in the model. It will not have a fancy title block but you can make a paper copy of what is on the screen.

Another thought -
You could add a very small extrude to the model and then sketch could be manipulated in a drawing as stated by these other fine gentlemen.

In your drawing, go to the view menu and make sure "sketches" is toggled on. Then do as Stefan and TheTick suggested.

This worked! Thank you very much!
