What is the application? Pressure Vessel, building, piping,...

gbola38,
Are you lifting the 16mm plate, 300mm wide by 1000mm long and you need a lug to lift it? Or the lifting lug is 16 mm, 300 x 1000 mm plate?

the sheet is for a pressure vessel and the dimensions are for the sheet not the lug. I only need the lug to locate the plate for welding on the vessel as slings would be used to lift to 10m above ground level. lugs are to be removed once plate is secured.

gbola38;
There is software you can purchase that calculates optimum lug size based on load. If this is something that you routinely need, I would purchase the software. Do a Google search and see for yourself.
