Is there a way to fix the auto text string:
<W@$SH_SHEET_NUMBER> OF <W@$SH_NUMBER_OF_SHEETS>
when it is necessary to add a reference sheet that is not part of the engineering documentation so that it is not counted in the SH_NUMBER_OF_SHEETS variable.

Running cad straight out of the box is OK but, a system tuned with application software is the best way to increase productivity.

It would be nice that if a sheet was named beginning with "REF" or some defined string that it would not be counted by the W@$SH_NUMBER_OF_SHEETS variable.
Maybe I can suggest it as an enhancement to GTAC.

If you see value in having something like this, then by all means, contact GTAC and have them open an ER (Enhancement Request) to that effect.

I agree with Cadmantools.

Not everyone uses drafting to make detail drawings that conform to standards.

Some of us use it to make manufacturing setup sheets, sketches for machinists, file folder labels, etc.

It would be lovely to have "junk" sheets that don't count as official sheets.

Oh how i hate that word "junk" we have a designer that thinks we should have a lay for junk if its junk gety it to h@#l out of the file. Junk has no place in a file I have opened many a file with so much Sh*t in it that it's unbelievable. You start adding junk to your files there will be no end to what gets placed in a file and kept instead of just getting rid of. So junk to me is a very dirty word when it comes to cad files!

Yes it would be be nice to have reference sheets, but maybe have the sheets in a differnt "drawing" that can have their own numbering scheme.
If you notice in the tree, the sheets are under a "drawing" - so it would be nice to have the ability to add a "drawing", and that would take care of the problem.

There is nothing stopping you from creating a second (or more) drawing file with your reference/setup sheets.

As well as the main drawing sheets we also use mod (modification) sheets, detailing what has changed between drawing releases.
These use a different 'pattern' for the drawing border.

Would there be a way to do the page numbering based on identifying the 'pattern' used on the sheet?

Creating another drawing file disjoints the information.
Whit it all together it is less likely to be forgotten.

We also use different drawing sheets for the same product, but according to some standards they all have different n numbers. For ex. sheet 110 is used for technical product specs, 190 for comercial use, 191 for our quality departement. So beneath one item, we can have different specification sheets.
Have a look at the screen shot.
