I've been asked to apply for a LOMA or LOMR-F (don't know yet) for a single family lot in Florida. What is the going rate for this? I'm not doing the survey but I am certifying it as an engineer and coordinating the submittal.

The level of effort for a LOMA and a LOMR-F can be vastly different. A single-lot LOMA can be applied for electronically in less than an hour. A LOMR-F will take more paperwork and coordination. So I wouldn't say there is a going rate, especially if you haven't done FEMA submittals previously.

There is a FEMA fee for a LOMR-F - I believe it is about $500. For a single family lot, I would think your fee would not exceed $1,000.

generally the fee is the least expensive part. if there is any hydrology or survey necessary, that can run up the price quickly
