if u are not closing to what u want from ur loft ..
it's possible diffrence of number of segment in every section. in equal mode this is best one .
in some other cases when u use some arcs or circles in ur segments u don't permit the loft ot sweep to change the circular shape of loft or sweep wich created by that segments . so try use ellipse which have more degree of freedom , or split ur segments , u will see the difference.
