I am new to abaqus, I have created a beam and i dont know, what is the maximum load it can take, Is there any way to increase the load continuously without giving a fixed value, so that at some load the beam will fail and i will consider it as a maximum load it can take.
Kindly help me how to do this ?

You can define very high load increasing as defined in amplitude and then check the step time when the beam failed. It will correspond to the failure load.

You could try to do a displacement control analysis, increasing the displacement in the centerline until a big one (ex. 50cm) and after plot displ-load curve and find what you search.
