Loading Autocad dwg in Drawing Express program

Hi
I'm having problems loading an autocad drawing in Drawing Express. When i load in text from Autocad each line is prefixed with the the letter P. It's very frustrating as I have to physical edit each line. Has anyone encountered such a problem? All help will be greatly appreciated.
