Dear All,I am looking for lightweight clutch (less than 1kg) to transmit 40N.m continous torque and 110N.m peak torque at 75rpm maximum speak. Is there any type of clutch which able to transmit this load and less than 1kg? Best regards

A dog clutch should be able to do that.

If you require a friction clutch, i.e., one capable of engaging gradually and accelerating the load, things get more interesting.

medo79,

MikeHalloran makes a good point. What are the functional requirements for this clutch? Is it simply to provide an engagement or disengagement function in a driveline? Or must it also provide a synchronizing function?

The term clutch is a little ambiguous.

Regards,
Terry
