I have to carry out lifting lug calcs. The lifting lug is on a valve train i.e. attached to hollow square bar on a skid.

Thanks in advance

COMPRESS provides option to design lifting lugs for vertical lift, and also lugs for lifting/turning vessel (including the tailing lug). See the options under the "Attach" menu.

The lifting lugs are attached only to the pressure boundary material (eg: heads, cylinders, cones). Tailing lugs can be attached to support skirts.

COMPRESS does not provide option to attach lifting lugs to structural supports such as skids, etc.

If compress does not support lug calcs, then how can I carry out calculations for the lug. Is there a method or program that I can use.
