Levering legacy data 2D to 3D

Maybe I don’t remember it correctly but I want to make sure. There was a topic at Siemens PLM Connection called Levering legacy data 2D to 3D. what you did was assign your front, top, and side view and it would generate a 3D model. Is that function in NX 8.5 or was it a future release?

And if you look at Settings group in Copy to 3D command, you will see, that output can be also sketches and solid body. But, it will work only for simple geometry like the one, I have attached.
