I am looking at a parking garage that was designed around 1968, in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania used to follow the BOCA code, and I am wondering if anyone might know what the BOCA floor live load for parking garages was from that time. From looking at the 6th edition of the Steel Construction Manual, it says that the live load was 100 psf. This is for passenger cars, not trucks and buses.

You might try the BOCA website - I assume there are still in business. Or look on E-bay for an old copy of the code.

BOCA merged with the other two code organizations to form the International Code Council. Their website (iccsafe.org) goes back to the 1996 NBC. You may have to go to a library to find that particular edition, or a local building department (especially a larger one) to ask to see it and make a copy of the pages you need.

I heard that NBC merged with CBS to form ABC...
