laser cutting, buy or not buy?

I am currently working for a company who would like to invest in a new machine. One of our ideas is to buy a CNC laser cutter. The purchasing consultant for our company suggested us to buy a han's laser machine.
I've noticed that the price of this machine is much lower copared to other brands, like trumpf. My question is why are there price gap so much higher? Are they made out of poor coponent or is the reliability less of a guarantee?

I agree with the fact that the lack of assistance could be one of the main problems. but is the fact that is made in china is a real loss of value in terms of quality on the machine?

With a company like TRUMPF, you’re paying for a high end machine with most of the engineering done in Germany (basically you’re Mercedes). If edge quality, speed/productivity (laser power), cutting thicker plate, or reflective materials like brass and copper is a factor, that would be a reason to consider them. That and service, applications and software support are something that’s important to keep in mind. There’s some good machines in the middle too. Just depends on what kind of cut quality and productivity you’re willing to pay for.

I don't know that you can prejudge quality; I was responding to your question about why it was cheaper. Labor rates, components, etc., are cheaper in China, so a lower price is not unreasonable. iPhones are manufactured in China, and no one is complaining about quality, BUT, Apple presumably keeps a tight rein on quality.
