Good Word-of-the-Day, loquacious. Too many letters for a big Scrabble score though.
I was unaware of these cables. Interesting concept. I just had a client get his entire production plant stripped of everything copper; wires, switchgear bus, even smaller transformers (the plant was shuttered awaiting a move). They must have pulled in with a big truck to haul it all away. They are very interested in copper theft deterrence now.
But I'm a little disappointed in their marketing it as "anti" theft, because it actually does nothing to stop a thief from removing them, it just makes it pointless because they can't get paid for them. But that ASSUMES the thief is intelligent enough to pay attention and recognize the sublet differences on appearance in the dark of night. At first glance I was thinking they embedded high strength wire inside to make it difficult to cut with simple tools like cable cutters.
