.krx File into Teamcenter

How can a .krx file be saved in Teamcenter? I have a part family in Teamcenter that I want to attach a .krx to the part family. NX acts like it saves the .krx file. However, nothing is saved to Teamcenter.

Hi Shansox ,
I guess the import of .krx files (in case of MACHINE LIBRARY not sure about others) is taken care of automatically by machinery library installation tool .
Frankly speaking i didn't know that untill one of our NX experts enlightened me about this.This installation tool helps importing the .bmp and .krx files along with the part family members.
This is what i know.Not sure if that helps.

If you use machinery parts downloaded from GTAC, I suggest you to use the machinery library installation tool to import into Teamcenter.
To do this you mus be infodba user and done into the main server.

If you use your parts, remember you have to set correctly the customer default and add or move the part present in the teamcenter in the folder indicated into the customer default, then with right access (we use special user to adminstrate reuse library parts), you can do RMB in the reuse library on the part and then create the .krx file.

Anyway I suggest you to read the word document present in the folders where machinery library installation tool is present.

How old is your Teamcenter version ?
In case it's too old, "it doesn't know what a .krx" is .
