Dear All,

I would like to know the difference and meaning of JR, J0, J2, K2 etc which we normally denotes for the steel gradation such as S255J2G3. What is the meaning of G3 too.

with best regards

Vinu

J is the 27J Charpy test requirement; the digits are the test temperature: Room Temperature, 0 deg C, -20 deg C. K is the 40 J Charpy test requirement. J2G3 is an old EN 10025-2 designation that has been superseded.
