If we qualify a procedure on a CJP bevel groove, does it also qualify all grooves except square grooves? I am referencing table 4.5 #31. Also, is it not correct that the only backing for pre-qaulified joints is steel? Ceramic would require Clause 4 qualifications?

You must write in all the joints permissiable in your WPS.

5.10 Roots of groove or fillet welds may be backed by copper, flux, glass tape, ceramic, iron powder or similar matls.

AWS D1.1-2010 has clarified this requirement per clause 3.13.2.
Any WPS that utilizes backing other than steel does require qualification per clause 4.

To answer your first question, yes, if you're using a groove detail meeting those of 3.12 or 3.13.

However, this is not true of corner and T joints. See 4.10.1.1.

If you qualify your CJP single bevel groove weld using your corner and T joint geometry to be used in production however, then you are qualified for all groove details complying with 3.12 or 3.13, including T and corner joints, excluding square grooves, and within the limitations of Table 4.5 #33 if you move outside of the prequalified joint details.

For future reference, this is all based on the 2010 Edition.
