Does anyone know, for certain, if there are unlicensed ISM bands available in Israel? For instance, is there a 433.05-434.79 MHz and 920-928 MHz band, and what are the requirements for each? I am getting all sorts of conflicting information.

I worked for someone who needed two antennas, US at 430 MHz and Europe is 390 MHz.

The ITU provides recommendations by Regions, but national governments have the final say. There must be a Communications Ministry in Israel that is the authority regarding such things.

Yep, that is exactly my problem. Israel is in Region I of the ITU, and that suggests all sorts of things related to ISM frequencies. However, when I try to confirm if those bands, or parts of those bands, are allowed in Israel, I hit a stone wall. Unfortunately I can not read Hebrew, so my searches are limited to English websites. I simply can not believe that the Israeli spectrum policy is not available in english somewhere, But I have not found it yet!

E-Mail Phoenix Contact, they make radios for use all over the world. They have a US web site and a world wide site, both in English.

Ve1BLL, I clicked that link you provided, it's all English all the time for me.

That's the English link.

The other day, for some unknown reason, when I visited the top level website ( the "English" option appeared on my browser for only a very brief time before disappearing. It took a couple of tries to be quick enough to click on it to capture the English link which I posted.

But the top level website is fixed today and the English option is an easy click for anyone.

Just fyi, decided to go with channels 3 thru 9 of the 802.11 2.4 ghz band. Never did find any confirmation of other allowable ISM bands in Israel. I don't think there is one.
