Hi,
Is anyone aware of "ISDX-Interactive Surface Design" in Pro/E or already using it for their benefit? I want to know what it is exactly?
Thanks

What it does is let you make complex surfaces easily. You draw the cruves and make the surfaces all in one feature. Then you are able to manipulate the surfaces buy dragging points on the curve around in space.

It is really easy to make very fancy shapes but I am still learning how to control it in a more dimensionsl manner. It is so free form that nothing is dimmensioned. So I am nervous that it will be hard to make controled changes like moving a surface out exactly 1mm.

You are correct in stating that it is a great free form tool, but don't forget that it is incorporated within your ProE model, so if you need to make constraints to a specific size, then simply create your style curves to ProE datum curves/planes/points. Let these datum curves/planes/points drive the parametric geometry, but the actual surfaces are defined by the style curves.
