Is there any update in the lastest ASME Sec8 Div1 that says about thickness check annually?

Lately, the customer asked to my boss if thickness check annually is required or not?

For pressure vessels that are construced by following ASME Sec8 Div1 in general.

I never heard of this requirement in the book before. Mostly, it comes from an additional requirement of each customer themselves.

At this moment I still havent checked lastest book. I only have 2017 edition.

Section VIII is a construction code and doesn't tell you how to operate, maintain, or inspect vessels. See API-579, National Board Inspection Code, etc. If you are not in the US, you may have other regulatory requirements.
