Hi, is anyone able to please advise if there is a mechanical difference say to API 600 Gate Valves when customer is requesting CE PED for Europe

I am concerned about some valves purchased from the USA that have come from a foundry that has CE certificates, although the valves in question do not have CE marking

Could there be issues?

Thanks

J

CE marking for compliance to the PED? If so, unless it is NPS 1 (DN25) and smaller, then product complying with CE is to be CE marked.

Just because the product complies with API 600, and the foundry has a PED certificate does not mean the valve meets the PED requirements. There are additional marking and material requirements in the PED beyond what is required by API 600.

You will need to confirm with the manufacturer.
