I need to simulate a gear train in an existing gearbox. The models for all the gears already exist and are highest level of detail. I read into the gear tools in Inventor, but they seem to be for generating gear trains from scratch. Remaking all the gears and re-adding them to our Vault server seems infeasible and would break hundreds of mates across many assemblies.

Can I add gear properties to existing part files? Can I create a gear train simulation from a fully-modeled gear train assembly?
