I am working with a few different bodys and evey time I try to add, union, assemble, or any boolean step, I get a windowthat pops up. It is an update diagnosis, and it says topological operators: internal error.

Any sugestions on why I am getting this error? I is there any way to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Dear Raindog,

I haven't had exactly the same problem - at least recently. Some things to look out for, though, are:

* Are the operations you are trying to do actually physically possible (i.e. would they result in an infinitely thin sliver being left)?
* Are all of your input bodies 'manifold' (i.e. they don't have any infinitely thin blades or spikes)?
* How complex are your parts? Can you remake them in a 'clean' part and try the same operations?
* How old is the CATPart that you're working on? If it is an old part with a lot of history it increases the chance of unexplainable problems cropping up (too much 'personality').
* Have you got all the known hot-fixes for your release installed?

I think you need to isolate the problem to whether it is the operation itself, whether it is the part, or whether it is the installation.

Sorry not to be able to offer anything more specific.

Regards,

Mike
