Interference fit of toroids

This is a slant on the familiar problem of the interference fit of cylinders, except in this case the two parts are circular pipes or toroids (see word doc for pic). Because the two toroids are cooled by water at different temperatures they'll see different radial expansion and as such will see hoop stresses. How can this be calculated?

That is a good one in my Machine Design book by Norton there are a set of equations for interference fit. Yes hollow shafts are worked in with all the others. I would start with that set of equations and then added the effects of the threm groth. All of the equations are based on the interference.
