I want to install a window in my garage wall. The stud wall has diagonal shear bracing, I need t remove the brace to install the window, how would I compensate for the loss of shear brace?

I would guess that the brace was a temporary construction convenience and that the sheathing is now the bracing element in your wall.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.

The sheating is stamped "resin-tile". I am assuming it's not structural thus the bracing.

Looks alot better than the cardboard that they use to brace tract houses.
I would not worry about losing the brace.
