Dears,

I have a pressure vessel 24’’ND with 2 chambers, carbon steel, 3mm corrosion allowance.
For the fist chamber, there is body flanges assembly. No problem.
But the second is totally separated and we have only one flanged nozzle 10’’ ND. Is it enough for opening inspection or do I need to plan additional nozzle ?
Thank by advance

jaguar69, it appears to me your 10" nozzle would be acceptable per the rules, UW-46(f)(7), assuming suitably located. Assuming acceptable to the owner.

Regards,

Mike

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand

jaguar69,
Is the body flange of the first chamber to be used for the inspection? Or, an inspection nozzle with a required size may be desired at the proper location.

Dhurjati Sen,
man entry is not required by our client. Anyway, it'll be difficult to fir man entry on vessel 24" ND

mk3223,

Body flange is used for inspection for the first chamber only. The 10"ND nozzle is fitted on second chamber
