Hi,

I would like to know the best way to set up the tube to measure cylindricity and runnout of the tube, using CMM?
Their tolerance is quite tight, like 20 micron, I would like to know the best setup.

Also, the measurements supplier measured using CMM does not match what we measured using CMM. I need to validate and implement the same inspection method/setup. We tried the tube layed down or put it vertical.

We eneded up using Taylor Hobson to measure that, by putting it vertical.
Since supplier do not have this machine, we have to go with CMM.

Any advice is much appreciated.

The supplier can subcontract to someone who is capable of making the measurement.

Why did they take a contract they cannot fulfill?
Why did anyone give them a contract they cannot fulfill? Was no quality audit done before accepting their quote?
