In the feature tree, RMB the sketch, and select "Edit Sketch Plane".

I did that edit sketch plane is not coming up? Do I have to be in edit sketch mode? The orignal sketch is on the front plane

No, but you may also be able to do a "cut and paste". Open the sketch, box select everything, CTRL-X, OK to close the sketch, start a new sketch in the proper plane, CTRL-V.

RMB on the sketch in the Feature Manager; select Customize Menu; select Edit Sketch Plane.

If that worked; RMB on any toolbar; select Customize > Options and select both Show All buttons. This will force ALL menus and shortcuts to be shown.

Ok I figured it out I imported the orignal sketch from auto cad I guess you can't change the sketch plane after you import I did try the cut and/or paste and that worked then I was able to edit the sketch plane, so if anyone knows how to edit the sketch plane after you import something let me know!!!! Thanks guys!

You didn't say at first it was imported. During import, you can specify which plane to put it on.

Per TheTick's response, "In the feature tree, RMB the sketch, and select "Edit Sketch Plane"."
NOT the feature, but the sketch.

You have to open a DWG or DXF file using the Import to a new part and to a 2D sketch otpions.
