Insert an existing file as an OLE object

Inserting a PDF into our titleblock regardless of the check box that says display as icon the PDF will only be a icon in the titleblock. On some systems it will work correctly and on others it will only display as an icon. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

There have been lots of posts regarding this.
Do a search for insert object or insert picture or insert logo.

In some cases there appears to be no rhyme nor reason why some systems will not do this. For the record, I have never been able to do this & I have tried every solution offered in these threads. Some people have never had a problem.
