I have a problem with a model of cylinder with to elical sweep inside.

Tha model is a thin cylinder with two thin elical sweep in the inner side, the typical configuration of a concrete machine maker. At the end of the cylinder there are two ring wich enables the rotation on four wheel.

I set the mid shell compression idealization for the thin cylinder end inner sweep, while the two rigs were modelled using 3D element.

After runnign simulatione the deformed shape does not match with imposed constraints. One end of the sweep goes out of the cylinder, it seems that there are no connections between the sweep mid surface and the cylynder.

fabio,

I'm not sure I understand the model properly; how did you apply your
constraints? (Can you post a snapshot of the model?). Also what is the
scale of the displacement results?
