Info about the steel 27MnVs6 1

The correct designation for this grade is 27MnSiVS6. The DIN Werkstoff Nummer is 1.5232. It was developed as a ferritc-pearlitic steel for precipitation hardening from hot-working temperatures. It has been replaced by the new grade 30MnVS6 (1.1302) in DIN EN 10267. There are a couple of links below for papers written on the old grade:
