Does anyone know where I can buy stock constant force springs with 1 to 4 lb-in of torque and about 120 inches in length? I am looking for companies besides Stock Drive Products and McMaster-Carr. I only need about 5-10 springs, so it is too expensive to have a company like Vulcan Spring make the springs. Vulcan does not sell stock sizes.

If you have a good relationship with a spring company, you could ask them who normally buys such a spring and inquire to them about buying a handful. Some companies will not reveal customer info. The only way to know is to ask.

What is the "torque" of a wide (1 inch +) "tape measure" that can be bought in any hardware store?
Run two in parallel if needed.
