Good day,

I'm looking to model an induction motor with an axial fan attached to its rotor side via a gearbox. At the moment I have the power source, motor, and fan model connected. For the gearbox, I simply multiply the electrical torque with the GR to give to the fan model.

Below is how the model looks in Simulink at the moment. In the inertia block attached to the motor "R"-port, I have accounted for the motor, gearbox & fan inertias.

I'm not getting the correct steady-state load on the rotor side. Below is what I have so far.

On the left in the figure above, the speed and load are supposed to remain constant after 5 s.

If anyone has any experience in modeling a similar system or could help me identify why it is doing this it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Christo
