Indoor Vessel and Tank Grounding 1

I was curious about grounding indoor equipment. Particularly vessels and tanks. If a vessel is mounted directly via anchor chairs to steel structural members for the building, would said asset be sufficiently grounded? I'm trying to determine if I need to add grounding cables to a dozen or so vessels.

One would assume direct bolting to the metallic structure is providing sufficient electric contact for grounding. However, the practice has proven that paint and corrosion can damage the contact and the grounding be lost. It's prudent to provide separate grounding for each equipment to the structure or the plant grounding system.

A seperate grounding lug -with copper cable- that is installed and tested by an electrical contractor makes everyone feel better....
