increasing friction on Grey Cast Iron.

Hi Material guys.

Would you please tell me how I can increase the friction coeficient to Grey Cast Iron, at the foundry shop, without any loose on Tensile Strength, Ultimate, 240 MPa , and the thermal conduction capacity.
I'm trying to increase it on car racing clutches. My friction pads are metalceramic.
The foundry shop have knowlodge to apply any procedure, but they do not know what to do.

Any help will be welcome.

You may want to consider going to compacted graphite iron. In this the shape of the graphite is changed from flakes to a semi-nodular form. This ought to increase the friction. The strength and ability to withstand heat input should actually increase.
If you want to stick with gray iron, you must reduce the graphite content, which will diminish thermal conductivity and complicate actual clutch performance.
