I have started my design by creating a master / reference
assembly. Basically just a bunch of sketches, some
crucial parts, etc...

Now I would like to export individual sketches into sub-
assemblies so I can do the detailed design and modeling
of those components.
Any thoughts?

In PART design there is an option to Insert->Part and
then select which features (sketches, surfaces, etc...) I
want to import. Anything like that for Assembly to
Assembly?

Of course I would like to keep the references so if the
master changes the sub-assemblies will update.

Thank you,

Boris.

Hi !
I have not SW installed so I can't be very precise.

SW has an option "CREATE NEW ASSEMBLY HERE" . (Hope I remember well)
To do this, open your assembly, select the parts you wish to include in the new assembly (use CTRL+CLICK to select multiple parts) then RIGHT CLICK one of the selected parts and you will see the popup menu with this option.

Hope this is a help for you.
Any way, it is a start point to search in SW help files.

Good luck !
