Im needing to import a company logo into the title block of the drawing format. I can only get a .tif image to import. When I do, it never stays the same size when I zoom in and zoom out. Plus there is no way to locate the image. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Try making you company logo a symbol and then placing it in the title block. This should work for you. Be sure to store the logo symbol for reuse.

How do you mean to create a symbol? Im using pro/help, but thats not much help. We are using pro/e per a customer request. They have their own company standards, and we used their set up, and they have "tweaked" pro/e a little, well thats an understatement, they have messed with it alot. So as far as some of the menu items pro/help is suggesting, I dont see them. If someone could give a simple idea of what is supposed to be done to create a symbol that would help. Wouldnt symbols have to be inserted at each drawing sheet? I want it on the format, set it and forget it.

The best way is to get the logo into IGES, DXF or some other format that you can import. Tiff will be useless. It might show on the screen but it will probably not print out.

Make sure that the version of help you have matches the version of Pro/E you are using. Even if they do the menu pics are often out of date in help.

When I try to import the DXF file of the logo, I get an error saying "Some unsupported items were encountered. See file dxf_errs.log." Every time I try to import the dxf I get that error. Im takeing a SW drawing that only has the logo on it, and saving that drw file as a dxf. Is this the "right" way to do it? I would try iges, but I cant save to iges format. Any more suggestions or ideas?

The problem is that pro/E does not like things like splines in DXF files. I think that 2001 will take in more features and even some splines.

Pro/E supports IGES better than DXF.

I have often had to convert a bitmap into postscript into dxf into iges to get a logo into pro/E. It can be alot of work. ProEpro

There are several ways.

Visio, Correl Draw and Adobe Ilustrator can do it. There are also some shareware packages that will do it.
Adobe streamline can convert non vector images like bitmap, tif, gif, or jpeg to DXF or postscript but it is a very manual process.
