I have a vessel where the shell was rolled and welded and U-stamped. My question is that this vessel will be going to heat treat and it is 2" thick, the U2A shows that the shell was Impact tested. What do I need to do on my part for Impact testing after HT. Should i have received a production weld plate with this shell?

Are you preforming a Post Weld Heat Treat?

Yes. and the U2A shows that it was impact tested in the heat treat condition.

Assuming that you are the manufacturer (complete the U1 or U-1A form) of the vessel and the vessel required impact tested materials and you will weld the circumferential seams, you need to order additional material to comply with UG-84 (f) & (g)for production impacts. It is assumed that the manufacturer of the shell or shell courses did so and sperformed production weld impacts with PWHT.

Yes, the manufacturer of the shell did perform production weld impacts with PWHT and supplied me with the documentation (test reports) to show this, and it is documented on the U2A. Being that we welded the circumferential seams and will be going to HT, I was not sure if I also needed to provide a production test plate.
