Hi,

I'm looking for method for simulate a plastic box faling on a rigid surface.

I've read several parts of solutionswith or without Motion using with modal and or without dynamic response analysis...

I would like to know if someone know a better solution than the others and principaly, I would like to know if one method is better than the otherones.

In fact, I can't understand what method is working and why so any advice will be wellcom.

Thanks

GB

mechanica wont help. use LS Dyna, SIMPACK, ADAMS, or LMS DAADS for what you want.

I'm suprised because I found several solutions on PTC customer support web site.

Some of them use first a motion analysis and other ones just use Mechanica with dynamic responses.

I don't understand clearly how those several solutions are working.

I would like to know what would be the best and more sure solution.

Rigid body dynamics is there in MDO module of ProE, before it was in Pechanica Motion which is now retired, no more in Wildfire 3.0.

Flexible body dynamics was no where in ProE. Dynamic analysis in Mechanica is something else.

Anyone read it yet?

What is the response?

Is this tutorial worth of reading or not?

Would somebody upload the tutorial file by adding it to a post (assuming the author has no objections?).

Thanks,

Sam
