impact modelling

Hello!!

i m creating a 2D model of an aluminum beam impacted by a rigid projectile. i have used johnson cook material model. the velocity of projectile is around 100 m/s.
the problem is that the beam is not breaking on impact no matter what velocity i provide.

Please help..!!
