'Image type' in Auto Trace

Hello, I researched other posts about putting company logos on parts and am trying to do that with Auto Trace. When I get to the second page of the PropertyManager, however, I don't see a section for 'Image Type' like the help is telling me to do. I tried different Selection tools in the Trace Settings but I get weird sketches once I click on Begin Trace. Anyone have a link to a tutorial on this or can tell me where I'm going wrong?? Attached is our company logo. I've tried the lasso around the trefoil design but it comes back as a warped triangle. Thanks for the help!
