First there were 3....Southern Building Code, UBC, and BOCA......then there was one....International Code Council (ICC) which is a "merger" of the three major model codes..
Now there are two....the ICC and the NFPA......the NFPA "pulled" their support of the ICC codes due to some internal conflict (not relevant to the question), and wrote their own building code, NFPA 5000, (which is based on the Disney Code I believe
CABO was a joint code by the major three for one and two family residences. The ICC has taken over the CABO Code and now refers to it as the IRC, International Residential Code.
