Good Day,
In our MTBE plant, piping suffered Hydrate formation (ICE) upto a length of 50m, during start up after shutdown. Now we have to conduct Remaining life assessment RLA for that piping.
My question is that, what could be the effect of hydrate formation on mechanical integrity and properties and what inspection methods can be applied for that RLA, like Visual, Hardness, Impact test, NDT, replica etc.
