I am looking for some other types of connectors similar to the lindapter line. I have an application where I'm connecting two channels top and bottom (different sizes) toes flush. I need a clamp that is capable of gripping a moderately sloped and that is also relatively inexpensive.
The clamps would have to be capable of the same kilonewton connection as a regular welded or bolted conn. The application is for a removable roof panel at an industrial plant. The idea was to get away from having to line-up bolt holes or anything else that was done in-shop that required accurate alignment.

Can you advise:
-other methods of connectors WITHOUT using thru-bolted or welded connections
-perhaps recommend some type of hooked lever latch system or similar

You can make up your own equivalents of Lindapters using plates with holes, spacer washers and bolts.
Design your clamping forces based on friction between faces, and design the plates to be over-stiff in bending.
